This beautiful deck transformation in Kenilworth was all about softening a hard, concrete and gravel outdoor space and turning it into something warm, welcoming, and perfect for soaking up the view. The client wanted a more comfortable surface underfoot and a space with a natural timber feel—ideal for relaxing with a morning coffee or enjoying the peace and quiet of the surrounding landscape.
We built the new deck using kiln-dried F27 hardwood joists for strength and durability, topped with 140×19 Merbau decking boards for a rich, warm finish. A 190×19 Merbau edge board was used to frame the space neatly, and a stainless steel wire balustrade system was installed to keep the view uninterrupted while providing safety and a sleek, modern touch. It was a smooth, straightforward build completed in just two and a half weeks—and the end result is a beautiful, functional outdoor area the client can enjoy for years to come.
